Welcome my friends,
I am a certified trauma informed yoga therapist with over 1500 hours of yoga and holistic trainings.
I have ten plus years experience as a yoga teacher and have my children's and pre/postnatal yoga teacher designations. I did my yoga therapy major project on traumatic brain injury and love how a yoga practice can encourage positive growth due to the brains neuroplasticity.
My personal practice has been a 25 year plus journey and I have experienced great benefits from it. Yoga has helped me manage my own struggles with physical injury (back, neck, shoulder, hip) post-concussion syndrome, insomnia and anxiety.
Yoga cannot 'cure' you, yoga does not believe that you are broken. The tools that yoga shares can be incredibly empowering, helping individuals to dig deep and find their own personal wisdom. It is a practice, and the more you practice, the more you gain from it. In order to achieve growth, you have to do, learn and explore.
I would love to be one of your guides on your journey!
Let's keep kindness in our thoughts, kindness in our words and kindness in our heart.
All the best,
Meghan
Land Acknowledgement:
I respectfully acknowledges that the lands on which I live and work are the traditional lands of the Anishinabek Nation and the traditional territory of Fort William First Nation, signatory to the Robinson-Superior Treaty of 1850.
Spiritual Lineage Acknowledgement:
Anything I know, learn or share is not mine. I come from a long line of teachers, students and practices. I offer thanks to my teachers, and deep reverence for the practice of yoga. I continue to learn with respect and openness. My teaching is not reflective of yoga in its entirety as a 5000-year old spiritual practice, and I acknowledge that I am not an expert in yoga.
